Follow the below steps to clear Cache in Google Chrome. These steps work on both PC and Mac!
Clearing the cache can resolve issues with Chrome working slowly, a site not loading properly, or even with issues signing into applications!
- Open Google Chrome
- Select the 3 dots in the top-right of Chrome
- Select Delete browsing data...
- In the page that opens, select Advanced
- Ensure the Time range is changed using the drop-down option to All time
- By default, the top 4 boxes should be checked, and the rest un-checked. Still, ensure that ONLY the following boxes are checked;
- Browsing History
- Download History
- Cookies and other site data
- Cached images and files
- Ensure that the following boxes are NOT CHECKED
- Passwords and other sign-in data
- Autofill form data
- Site Settings
- Hosted app data
- Once you have confirmed the above settings, select Clear data
- Once the window closes, your cache has been cleared. We recommend closing out of Google Chrome entirely, and re-launching Google Chrome before trying to access any sites you were having issues with.
If issues persist, please contact the Service Desk and an agent can further assist!
